Group Badge and Wallet Orders for Your Department or Agency
Thinking about purchasing badges for your department or agency? Whether you are introducing a badge for the first time, outfitting a recruit class or organizing a gift through your union local, it helps to plan the badge and wallet together.
At Hammer & Axe Leathercraft, we work with Zone West to coordinate custom badges and handmade leather badge wallets for group orders. You can arrange a complete package with the badge installed, ready to hand out to your members, or order wallets for the department badges you already issue.
Custom badges through Zone West
Zone West can help develop a custom badge for your department, with artwork based on your crest or a new design. They also offer a semi-custom badge layout with engraved text, which can be a useful option when working within a tighter budget.
If your agency already has a badge design, Zone West can review the options for matching it when you need additional badges. Their team confirms the badge details and provides the final quote based on the design, finish and quantity.

Custom badge wallets built around your badge
Once the badge is confirmed, we can help choose a wallet model and create the cutout to fit. We also check the attachment style so the badge and wallet work together as a complete setup.
Our wallets are handmade in Coquitlam, British Columbia, using premium full grain leather and hand stitching with Ritza Tiger thread. Your group can choose leather and thread colours and add personal details such as initials or badge numbers.
For departments ordering wallets for existing badges, start with our Badge Library. If your badge is not on file, contact us and we will walk you through getting it added before production.
Group wallet pricing
Group pricing starts at five wallets, with the discount increasing as the order grows. Our standard wallet discounts are:

These discounts apply to the Hammer & Axe wallet portion of your order. Zone West quotes the badges separately, so you can review both parts of the package before making a decision.

Working with unions and management
We work with both union locals and department management. That might mean a local organizing gifts for members, a department issuing wallets alongside new badges, or a recruit class coordinating its first group purchase.
Tell us who is coordinating the order and what you want to achieve. We can help narrow down the options, confirm the personalization details and provide a quote for the person or group approving the purchase.
A consistent leather and thread combination can give the order a shared department look, while initials or badge numbers make each wallet personal to the member receiving it.
Fast wallet turnaround from Canadian companies
Hammer & Axe in Coquitlam and Zone West in Maple Ridge are two Canadian companies working together to serve first responders. You can speak directly with the people coordinating the badges and making the wallets.
Our standard wallet production time is currently 1 to 2 weeks before shipping. Larger group orders may require an additional 1 to 2 weeks, depending on quantity and customization. We confirm the expected schedule when quoting your order.
New custom badges have their own artwork and production timeline, which Zone West confirms separately. If you have a recruit graduation, presentation or retirement date in mind, include it in your first message so we can plan the complete package around it.
