A two-inch maximum, with room for smaller coins
The maximum coin dimension is two inches (50.8 mm), measured across the widest part. Two inches is the upper limit, not the size your coin needs to be. Smaller coins fit easily, so you do not need a full two-inch coin to use the holder.
If your coin is both right at the two-inch maximum and unusually thick, reach out before purchasing. Send us its dimensions and a clear photo, and we can consult with you about whether it will fit.
For most customers, choosing a holder is straightforward: confirm your coin is no larger than two inches, then pick the leather, thread and flag option you like.
Full-grain leather, made by hand in Canada
Each keychain is handmade in Canada from Badalassi Carlo Pueblo full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. This leather has a distinctive texture and develops a patina as you carry it, taking on character through everyday use.
We hand sew each piece with waxed Ritza Tiger thread. You get the same attention to the leather and stitching that goes into our badge wallets, in a smaller accessory you can carry every day.
Solid hardware for everyday carry
The holder features a solid iron keyring and a solid brass snap, both with a matte-black finish. The snap provides access to your coin, while the keyring keeps the holder together with your keys.
The dark hardware pairs well with the leather and lets your chosen colour combination stand out.
Canadian flag, American flag or no flag
Choose an embossed Canadian flag, an embossed American flag or no flag at all for a clean leather finish.
Then customise the leather colour and thread colour. Keep them close for a subtle look, or choose contrasting stitching to highlight the hand-sewn edges. The product page shows the current options so you can put together a combination that suits you or the person receiving it.
