Toronto Paramedic Services Badge Wallets: Handmade in Canada

A badge wallet should feel as considered as the badge it carries. Our Toronto Paramedic Services badge wallets are handmade in Canada from premium full-grain leather and hand sewn with Ritza Tiger thread. They are made by a first responder-owned and operated shop, for the first responders who serve our communities across Canada.

At Hammer & Axe Leathercraft, that means combining a badge-specific cutout with a wallet you can make your own. Choose a straightforward card layout, an ID window or space for cash, then select the leather, stitching and personal details that suit you.

Our Toronto Paramedic Services agency page brings all six wallet options together. It is the place to compare the current models, see the badge photographs and start building your wallet.

Premium leather with character

We use Badalassi Carlo Pueblo, a full-grain vegetable-tanned leather with a textured surface and rich colour. It begins firm, then softens through use and develops a natural patina. Over time, the leather becomes darker and smoother, with a shine that develops as you handle and carry it.

Hand stitching is part of that finish too. You can keep the thread close to the leather colour for a quieter look or choose contrast to outline the edges and pockets. Learn more about our leather if you enjoy seeing how the material changes as it wears in.

Compare the six wallet layouts

The best starting point is what you carry alongside your badge. Count the cards you use regularly, decide whether you want an ID window and think about how often you use cash. Then compare the models around those needs.

Six badge-wallet layouts compared: Moonlighter for compact cards, Cash Strap for folded notes, Moonlighter ID for compact ID access, Core for simple wider-badge carry, Outlook for a larger ID window, and Billfold for regular cash; each model lists its main trade-off

The graphic gives you a quick look at each model's main benefit and the feature to consider before choosing. All six are listed on the Toronto Paramedic Services agency page.

Keep it simple: Moonlighter or Core

The Moonlighter is a compact card-and-badge wallet. It is a good starting point if you mainly carry cards and want a smaller footprint without adding an ID window or cash strap.

The Core offers a straightforward card-and-badge layout with more room for a wider badge. Choose between these two around the available badge space and the size you prefer in your pocket. If a visible ID window or dedicated cash storage is central to your routine, compare the other layouts before settling on either one.

Add an ID window: Moonlighter ID or Outlook

The Moonlighter ID keeps the compact Moonlighter footprint and adds a window for viewing identification. The Outlook provides a larger visible window and more room for a wider badge.

Think about how you normally show your ID. The window should reveal the printed details you need, and the card should be convenient to remove when required. If quick visual access matters more than carrying cash, these are the two models to compare first.

Make room for cash: Cash Strap or Billfold

The Moonlighter Cash Strap holds folded notes while keeping the compact Moonlighter footprint. It suits someone who carries a few bills and is comfortable folding them under the strap.

The Billfold is the larger option, designed around regular cash carry with a dedicated bill compartment. Its trade-off is a wider closed footprint. Choose the cash arrangement you find easier to use, then compare that footprint with the wallet you already carry.

Choose your leather, thread and personalisation

Exterior and interior leather colours can be selected separately, so you can keep the whole wallet consistent or introduce a second colour inside. Black gives the badge a dark background; brown brings a warmer look. The available coloured leathers offer other ways to make the combination personal.

Thread can blend into the leather or stand out. Decide whether you want the stitching to be a subtle part of the finish or a visible outline around the wallet. The same layout can feel quite different with a change in leather and thread.

Free personalisation lets you add initials or a badge number. Enter the exact characters and your preferred placement when ordering. The product options also let you choose a badge cover, so consider whether you would like that separate leather flap over the badge face.

You can explore these choices through the agency page or our Build Your Own badge wallet collection.
